Diabetes mellitus often known as diabetes in the community. Diabetes mellitus patientsrnwill experience various physical complaints that affects mental state of the patientsrncharacterized by excessive perspiration, tingling feeling in the feet, and the increasing ofrnpatient's urine at night. Based on the results of a preliminary study at clinic on 4 Junern2014 after interviewed 10 patients showed that 8 people aged between 50-64 years, 9rnpeople often feel a tingling in his feet, 8 people frequently urination and over sweating atrnnight, 8 people can not sleep well at night, 2 people feel well. This circumstances bring inrnpatients having sleep disorders which can make the anxiety feeling appears. The purposernof this study is to observe the patients’ anxiety whom suffering diabetes mellitus in workrnfield Jelakombo clinic Sub-district Of Jombang.rnThis study was conducted on May until July 2014 in work field Jelakombo clinic Sub-district Of Jombang. The design of this study is descriptive. The population of thernparticipants of diabetes mellitus patients are 154 people aged 50-64 years old and havernbeen suffering from diabetes mellitus for 3-5 years in work field Jelakombo Clinic. Thernnumber of samples in this study was 39 people with used Simple Random Sampling. Therninstrument of the study was an enclosed questionnaire. The technique of processing therndata are editing, coding, scoring, tabulating the data. The variable is the anxiety ofrnpatients with diabetes mellitus.rnThe results of this study is 2 respondents (5,13%) were not anxious, 21 respondentsrn(53,84%) were slightly feeling anxious, 16 respondents (41,03%) were anxious and nornrespondent is very anxious (0%).rnBased on the result of the study of anxiety of diabetes mellitus patients in work fieldrnJelakombo Clinic subdistrict Jombang is that most of the respondents are having slightlyrnfeeling anxious. Patients are expected to control the foods which contain glucose so thatrnthe complication will not appear.rnKeywords: anxiety, diabetes mellitus.
