One of the problems of nutrition at children who need attention is vitamin A deficiency or deficiencies. Lack of vitamin A is a major cause of blindness in Indonesia. It is estimated at one time as many as 3 million children are vitamin A deficiencyblindness, and as many as 20-40 million suffer from vitamin A deficiency at the level lighter. Indonesia is said to have been ree of the problem of vitamin A, while the consumption of vitamin A we still considered less. From result preliminary study performed on the date of March 11, 2014 as many as 100 infants in posyandu kenanga 1 children got 48 morbidly can’t got vitamin A and 52 infants who received vitamin A. This study aims to determine the attitude of the mother in giving of vitamin A to children aged 12-59 months in rural posyandu kenanga 1, gadingmangu village, perak distric, Jombang regency. rnThe study design was descriptive. Samples were taken from some mothers who have children aged 12-59 months in posyandu kenanga 1, gadingmangu village, perak district, Jombang regency as many as 50 people with Simple Random Sampling technique. Variables within this studyis the attitude of the mother in giving of vitamin A to children aged 12-59 months, Instrument research using questionnaires, data processing with the editing, coding, scoring, tabulating.rnBased on the results of the study showed that 34 respondents (68%) had a positive attitude and 16 respondents (32%) had a negative attitude. rnThe conclusion from these result that the positive atttitude of the mother giving vitamin A to children aged 12-59 months in posyandu Kenanga 1, Perak district, Jombang regency.
