Early initiation of breastfeeding the begining of the feeding activity within the first hour after birth. However, the current phenomenon is the low management of early breastfeeding initiation (IMD), one of which is caused due to lack of knowledge and motivation to implement the IMD pregnant women during childbirth. Pregnant women are less aware of the pre-birth treatments that can be done in preparation for feeding the baby. Based on data reported breastfeeding Immediate coverage in the implementation of the IMD in Jombang in 2012 Amounting to 398 from 498 the number of births, and in the Puskesmas Japanan of 31 studied only 14 were doing IMD. The purpose of this study was to determine the motivation of pregnant women in the third trimester preparation of early initiation of breastfeeding (IMD) in the region of Occupational Health Center Mojowarno Kabupaten Japanan District of Jombang.rn Design research is a descriptive study. The population of all pregnant women in the third trimester Japanan subdistrict health center working area Mojowarno Jombang were 38 pregnant women. Here, the researcher use total sampling as technique of collecting the sample. The variable in this study is the motivation of pregnant women in the third trimester preparation of Early Initiation of Breastfeeding (IMD). Collecting data using a questionnaire. Reparation data use a Editing, Coding, Scoring and Tabulating.rnBased on the results of the study showed 38 respondents found that 22 respondents (58%) have a medium motivation, 16 respondents (42%) have a strong motivation and no pregnant women who have a weak motivation in preparation for the implementation of Early Initiation of Breastfeeding (IMD).rn The conclusion of this research is that the majority of respondents 22 respondents were motivated in the preparation of Early Initiation of breastfeeding(IMD).rnrnKeywords: Motivation, Pregnancy, Third Trimester of pregnancy , Early Initiation of Breastfeeding (IMD).rn
