MOTIVATION FOR PREGNANT WOMEN IN FOLLOWING PREGNANTrnWOMEN CLASSESrn(Studies in the Village District of Pucangro Gudo Jombang East Java Province)

Pregnant women classes are pregnant women study groups with gestational agernbetween 20 weeks to 32 weeks with a maximum number of participants. Pregnantrnwomen in this class will learn together, discuss and echange experiences onrnmaternal and child health thoroughly and systematically and it can be done onrnscheduled basis and continuously. As a new government program, the class ofrnpregnant women is a positive activity. Mother’s lack participation in pregnant womenrnclass activities need to be motivated. Based on data from the Pucangro BlimbingrnGudo village health center is the village that has the highest number pregnantrnwomen which are 40 pregnant women. The purpose of this study was to identify thernmotivation of those pregnant women in attending pregnant women classes in thernVillage District of Pucangro Gudo Jombang East Java Province. The design of thernresearch is a descriptive study. The population of all pregnant women in the DistrictrnPucangro Gudo Village Jombang is 40 respondents. The sampling collection usesrntotal sampling. The variabel in this study is the motivation of pregnant women inrnattending pregnant women classes. The data obtained from the questionnaires fillingrnby the respondents to answer the questions that have been prepared. Based on thernresults of the research on maternal motivation in attending pregnant women classesrnfrom 40 respondents it is found that pregnant women who have a strong motivationrn(10%), pregnant women who have a mediocre motivation (42,5%) and pregnantrnwomen who have weak motivation (47,5%).rnThe conclusion of this study is that almost half of the respondents or pregnantrnwomen have weak motivation in attending pregnant women classes in the VillagernDistrict of Pucangro Gudo Jombang East Java Province.rnKeywords: Motivation, Pregnant women, Pregnant women classes
