Ability to socialize is Attainment of maturity in social relation. And it can be defined as the process of learning to adapt to the environment. In 2013 in Indonesia has a population of 200 million, until now not known how exactly the number of patients but estimated the number of children with developmental disorder reached 150-200 thousand people. From the preliminary study of 10 mothers, 3 mothers are behaved negatively in stimulating social development of children. Social development issues often faced is the lack of self-confidence in children and socialization disorder and lack of mothers’ attitude in providing stimulation. The purpose of this study was to know the mothers’ attitude in stimulating social development of children aged 12-36 months.rnThis research is descriptive. The population is all mothers having children aged 12-36 months. Data collection technique used total sampling technique that is all mothers having children aged 12-36 months as many as 30 people. The instrument is enclosed questionnaire. The variable is mothers’ attitude in stimulating social development of children aged 12-36 months.rnBased on the results of the study, from 30 respondents were obtained 16 respondents having a positive attitude (53.33%), and 14 respondents negative (46.67%).rnBased on the study result, it can be concluded that the majority of respondents have a positive attitude. So health professionals should be more active in providing counseling about the social development of childrenrnKeywords: Attitudes, social development, children aged 12-36 months.
