Death of mother is also able to be caused by infection, infection of pregnancy, childbirth or puerperal. But the prevention action of infection when helping childbirth that can’t be got is able to cause infection to mother and also able to cause death and pain to childbirth mother. Based on result of study before in PUSKESMAS WONOMERTO, it has been known that childbirth mother period January-December 2013 as many as 142 mothers with 56 mothers having infection. Purpose of this research is to describe the prevention infection that done by midwifery in process to help childbirth. The design of this research that is used is descriptive. Number of population is 25 midwifery, and uses technique total sampling. Gathering data uses Questionnaire and observation papers. Then the data that gained is done editing, coding, scoring, tabulating, and then analyzed by determine the percentage. Variable in this research is prevention management infection to childbirth process. Result of this research mention that from 25 respondents, founded 23 persons (92%) don’t do prevention infection management right, and with less category, whereas to enough category, just 1 person (4%), and good category, 1 person (4%). Conclusion of this research is where almost midwifery in working area PUSKESMAS WONOMERTO don’t do prevention infection management suitable with the procedure, in order that it is hoped that coordinator midwifery to be able to supervise and fix the performance of midwifery, especially in process of prevention management to aid of childbirthrn
