Social development of children is influenced by the mother of the child guidance in rnidentifying various aspects of social life. Based on the results of interviews on May 23, rn2014 in the village of Jombang Regency Wonosalam Sub Wonosalam obtained data from rn12 children, 8 children have a mischievous nature, lack of confidence, and difficult to mix rnbecause it did not get attention from older beings (66.667%) and four others, the feature rnattributes good, confident etc for getting attention from as forge old enough (33.33%). rnResearch design used is descriptive of the population of all mothers in the village of rnJombang Regency Wonosalam Sub Wonosalam with children ages 4-5 years of 237 rnmothers and total sample of 48 with the title role of the Mother of Social Development rnChild Age 4-5 Years. Sampling techniques in this study is simple random sampling. The rninstrument used was a questionnaire, and data processing and data analysis using the rnediting, coding, scoring and tabulator. rnThe results from the 48 respondents that influence passive role of the principal is a job rnthat is aged 27 respondents (56.3%) of farmers, education, 24 respondents (50%) of the rnSMP, the age of the 29 respondents (60.4%), age 20-35 years. rnConclusions of this study are passive role of social capital in development of 4-5 year rnolds in the village of Jombang Regency Wonosalam Sub Wonosalam influenced by a rnmuch younger age, occupation farmer, and education are still relatively low. rnKeywords: the role of the mother, the child's social development
