The pain in the mother before child birth due to uterine contractions and the resulting is chemia cervical dilatation and dismissed on uterus. Stresor physiological fearturns can cause uterine contractions. Village Bulurejo District of Diwek Jombang obtained many husbands who do not do the back massase technique to his wife just before labor. The purpose of this study was to determine the motivation of husband about backs massase on maternal in village Bulurejo District of Diwek Jombang.rnThis study used a descriptive design. The population in this study were all husbands who had wife who would give birth at BPM Dwi Wulan with a sample of 19 respondents. Sampling technique was a sampling Consecutive. The instrument used was aquestionnaire. Analysis of the data used was the editing, coding, scoring, and tabulatingrnThe results of the husband motivation back massase research to his wife who will give birth in the village of Bulurejo Diwek Jombang, have low motivation by 10 respondents (52.6%) have the motivation was as much as 2 respondents (10.6%) and motivated by 7 respondents (36.8%).rnThe conclusion of this research is the husband’s motivation about back massase on the maternity village Bulurejo District of Diwek Jombang were mostly as weak motivation category.rnKeywords: Motivation, husband, back massase, childbirth.
