The role of the husband is in need of prenatal care for the mother and infant birthrnsmoothness. Changes in male involvement in pregnancy, birth and earlyrnparenthood that happen so quickly shows that most men in antenatal classes do rnnot have a lot of role models in the field. Earlier, a man who wants to assist in thernmaternity hospital, which carried her in a sling or pram regarded as a freak. The rnpurpose of this study was to analyze the relationship the husband's role inrnprenatal care with newborn care. This study was an analytical cross sectionalrncorrelation with the entire population of a husband who had a wife giving birth inrnthe Polindes of Grogol village District of Cukir Jombang totaling 32 people and a rntotal sample of 30 respondents with simple random sampling of variables in this rnstudy consisted of two variables: the variable independent and dependentrnvariables, while collecting data using questionnaires. Mann Whitney statisticalrntest using the standard error ( = 0.05) using SPSS obtained (r = 0.001). The rnresults of this study, most respondents 19 husband's role in prenatal care wasrnpositive (63.3%) almost half of respondents, 13 people rush born baby care isrngood (43.3%). While based on the Mann Whitney test results obtained with SPSSrn(r = 0.001) so that H1 is accepted which means that there was a relationship the rnhusband's role in prenatal care with newborn care. The conclusion of this study is rnthat there was a relationship the husband's role in prenatal care with newborn rncare in the Polindes of Grogol village District of Diwek Jombang. rnKeywords: role, prenatal care, newborn care.
