Obesity has become world healthy epidemic problem. In 2008, more then a half billion adult rnpersons affected obesity. At least 2,8 million people died every year because of obesity or rnexcess weight body (World Health Organization, 2012). Prevalence of obesity to the children rnat age pre-school in this world as many as 33%. It’s prevalence increase not only in the rnadvanced countries but also in evolve countries, including Indonesia. One of age category rnthat has risk of obesity is at age pre -school. That age pre-school is the golden period in rndevelopment. This research is to know the relation between mother in taking care of obesity rnchildren with growth of pre-school children (4-6 years old) in Turipinggir Village, Sub-district Megaluh, District JombangThis research is descriptive annalistic research, wi th rnresearch design Cross Sectional Study. Populations of this research are 20 respondents and rnusing total technique sampling. Measured variable in this research is the role of mother in rntaking care of obesity children with the growth of childrenResult of t he research is proceed rnby using analyzing statistic data test Spearmen Rank to the mother and gained result ρ = rn0.036 with value α = 0.05 ( ρ < α ) it means Hrn0 rejected and Hrn1 rnaccepted and declare there is rnrelation between the role of mother in taking care of obesity children with the growth of rnchildren (4-6 years old).Result conclusion of the research is there a relation between the role rnof mother in taking care of obesity children with the growth of children (4-6 years old)rnKey words : obesity, role of mother, growing children
